Tends slitting machine that cuts sheets of hair-felt board
into strips which are fed into presses that stamp out filler
wads for shotgun shells: Turns hanwdheel to adjust feed rollers
to accommodate thickness of sheets to be slit and feed guide bar
to specified strip width. Starts machine and pushes sheets
agaisnt guide bar into feed rollers to obtain desired number of
sheets. Measures wdith and thickness of cut strips to verify
conformance to specifications, using ruler and fixed gauge.
